Franco's - Launceston

First had Franco's Spaghetti Puttanesca when I was fourteen and ten years later I still think nothing comes close to its perfection. I am also quite the fan of the Pescatora.Franco's has a great atmosphere with lovely staff and all the family working there. Always great to talk to Frank when he is there. Coming back to Launceston for the first time in a few years I can say it is one of my favorite places. Tastes just as good as I remember!

Francos was excellent. The decor and atmosphere were great. It's right in the middle of Launceston CBD and walking distance from just about anywhere in the CBD (the CBD isn't particularly large). The menu is quite extensive and everything is made fresh. There was a good wine list too with both Tasmanian and Italian options. It's also BYO for wine only.

Here on holidays on Easter weekends, not many restaurants are open for dinner. Last night the food was great. My son liked his little pizza and I loved the Carbonara and Tiramisu. Best Tiramisu I've had a long time. Grew with Italy as my neighbors and know what good Italian cuisine is And this restaurant ticks, the box.
