Love the view over the lagoon and comfortable couches for a leisurely cappuccino and omelette which was delicious.
Nice location, good food, great service. Always have colouring in for the kids and staff are great with the kids too! Lovely wood fire burning on those cooler nights too!Parmi night is great value at about $15 for a number of differnet variations on the good old chicken parmi!
Mid week lunch that was more than we expected. Device was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Be sure to check the specials board as well as the menu. I had the Sandbar chicken breast with prawns and white wine sauce, really flavoursome! My companion opted for grilled barramundi and veg. Old fashioned vegetables and juicy Barra were great. Might be a good idea to book as this small gem was more than half full with families, couples and seniors groups .
Staff here were rude. They were initially fast to seat us, immediately handed us our menus and literally immediately asked us what we wanted to order. I hadn't even opened my menu. The waitresses attitude when we asked to have a few min to look made us feel we were a huge annoyance. She said she would come back. She didn't. We went to the counter to order. There was no acknowledgement of our presence at the counter eventhough there were 3 staff members there. Evidently it takes all 3 of them to work a cash register despite there being no other customers at the counter. The store had a total of 3 tables occupied, with a total of 8 patrons including us. The food was expensive for what it was and all chips were served with chicken salt, regardless of what was ordered. This made my fish meal taste odd. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she shrugged. As we were completing our meal, she returned to ask if I would like them to cook me a bowl of plain chips. Far to late. I had already eaten my fish. The salad consisted of a lettuce leaf cup filled with cabbage, a sliver of red capiscum and a tiny wedge of tomato. Bland and it looked like leftovers from their lunch sitting. The onion rings others on my table had were lovely though. The deck was interesting to sit on, it allowed a lovely view of the water and was the best part of our visit.I'm normally a really easily pleased person and I would not dream of reporting in a forum like this. However, days later, I am still upset at our experience. I hope this feedback helps them to improve.
