The Old Reading Room - Lastingham

This is a charming, quintessentially English hotel where the staff are extremely attentive to your requirements. The food selection and taste is fabulous, you are guaranteed to put on a few pounds during your visit but don’t worry you can spend those pounds trying out their great selection of wines!! This is a dog friendly hotel, with the Moors just yards away from the door providing wonderful walking.

Fantastic homely country house hotel where you are treated as an individual

Delicious afternoon tea. Food was excellent and so was service. One of us has to have gluten free and they were very well catered for. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside with lovely views of the garden. We had walk around the gardens which were beautiful. The Grange is so full of charm and character, it would be a pleasure to dine or stay anytime of the year. Highly recommended!

Had the most amazing afternoon tea at Lastingham Grange today for my Mums birthday. Such a warm welcome, delicious sandwiches, scones, cakes, tea Pimms, friendly staff memories that will last a lifetime. Will definitely recommend can't wait to return. Thank you so very very much.
