Buffet Fu-Lam - Lasalle

Though it’s the typical Chinese buffet with wonton soup eggrolls vegetables fried onion rings chicken and a Wak corner where they will pan your favourite services adding your special sauce, you can be sure there food is good. The staff are friendly and it’s very inexpensive. I am a regular with my golfing friends and my friends have the same opinion.

I visited Fulam on Saturday, February 27th, 2019 and tried their buffet. The food was extremely cold and the deep-fried dishes like the spring rolls, onion rings, and General Tso's chicken were the worst tasting items. The peanut butter dumplings were watered down with sauce and the dumplings were cold and old. The chop suey tasted like dishwashing soap. Overall, the service has declined over the years. Unfortunately, I woke up the next morning with severe diarrhea from eating there. My friend and I will never eat at Fulam again. It was just a terrible experience.

On Saturday during lunchtime, my companions and I were very hungry, so we decided to give this place a try despite the mixed reviews. 1) The decor is very modern and not at all run-down. 2) The restaurant is quite large, and by the time we finished our meal, it was completely full. 3) The buffet area is exceptionally clean. 4) They have a wok station, sushi, and a variety of classic dishes that were all very tasty. I particularly enjoyed their pad thai, egg rolls, and roast beef. I am already looking forward to coming back for dinner next time!

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at this strip mall Chinese buffet. In addition to the typical hot dishes, they offer a popular sushi counter that stays fresh. There is also a noodle bar where a cook will prepare a fresh dish for you. The interior is nicely renovated and we have found this restaurant to be a reliable choice for special occasions like the first day of school or Mother's Day. Overall, it is better than expected and consistently good.

It's a good buffet, with affordable price and pretty fresh tasty, if you go for the Wok (you choose the ingredients and the cook, prepares it for you, in front of you). Customer service is also very good. Staff is very polite and helpful.
