Texas Meltz - Las Vegas

The service is okay, but the food is inexpensive at best. The meat was fat and the toast dripping with butter. The onion strands melted bitterly. Search for a decent grill in Las Vegas

I had bookmarked this place and forgot about it. When I was looking at Google maps I was reminded and decided to give it a shot. The reviews were good and I liked the concept. The woman who works the cashier is a valuable asset, hope she is one of the owners because they can?t afford to lose her. The way she greets everyone and makes suggestions along with her great attitude starts you out right. Putting sandwiches on Texas toast is such a great idea. I also read the reviews on the fried ribs and had to give them a try. We also ordered the Dallas, which is a brisket sandwich w/ cheddar and grilled onions, and the Laredo, a cheeseburger with smoked sausage and grilled onions. Also got fried okra because not too many places have it, and baked beans. Had the order to go so it was nice to see everything labeled so no guessing who gets what sandwich or which one is which. The fried ribs were different and the bbq sauce was good along with the fried onions. The Laredo was juicy and hit the spot. Really liked the Dallas, superb. The fried okra was OK but would have been better with some sort of sauce or even just ranch. Baked beans were OK as well. All of the Texas toast was grilled to perfection. I will definitely be back.

4-10-21 Awesome! First time here but definitely won't be the last! Very good across the board! The melts are excellent! I also tried the meat sampler platter and oh man it was all top notch! Some of the best we've had anywhere in the country! The prices are amazing for the quality and amount you get! The service is great! The employees are helpful and very polite! Inside seating for 20 or so and some outside seating is available. Can't wait to go back for seconds!

The brisket was so much tenderer than some BBQ spots it is incredible how much taste this sandwich packed the Cole Slav is tangie and creamy, the potato salad just explodes with bacon and smoke this place is winning

The experience was excellent! Order the Corpus Cristi and chose Chili cheese for the page. I was surprised to see the cost of this add on expected just a few dollars, since tons are a normal side. That said I never noticed that I would only take regular points to avoid the ridiculous cost increase. As soon as I paid the man at the counter, I asked if I wanted some cheese for my note and I said sure. To go order, I return to the Airbnb to discover the Gentleman on the counter, had finally loaded me with chili cheese bags! Great service, great experience and damn good food!! How do you win customers for life???
