Bidra med feedbackVery good food here, service was excellent and good options for non steak eaters
The atmosphere is lovely but our server was extremely slow. The prime rib was just ok. I've had better at Texas Roadhouse. They overcooked the rib cap. I ordered medium rare and it was well-done. They barely apologized and by the time the replacement ribeye showed up, our table was finished eating. We ordered both the lobster mac and regular mac n cheese. The lobster mac was good but the small dollop of lobster wasnt worth the additional $45... By the end we were so tired of waiting for our server to come back around, we decided to skip dessert and go somewhere else. Overall it was very overpriced for ok food and bad service. There are a lot of fantastic steakhouses in Vegas. This isn't one of them.
Prime location overlooking fremont street. Outside and inside seating. Excellent service and the food is absolute fire. Happy hour every day
As every Las Vegas (LV) resident or visitor understands, this city has so many steakhouses to try and oftentimes a restaurant will permanently close its doors only for a new one to open up, therefore, making it difficult to try every steakhouse that LV has to offer. Personally, I enjoy eating at some of the premium steakhouses off the strip (or away from downtown) because it 's less congested and it 's closer to my house. Regardless, my family and I enjoy visiting the strip/downtown restaurants from time to time so on 2 Aug 2024, we opted for Oscar 's. This restaurant was on our bucket list of steakhouses for ~10+ years...well, I 'd say it was more on my wife 's bucket list and overall, I 'd say I liked this restaurant, as depicted in my 4 star rating. First and foremost, I enjoy how this restaurant is completely away from the casino floor; this restaurant is located on the second floor, while the casino is on the first floor. Although it may not be a big deal to others, but I 'm not a fan of walking out of a restaurant only to have people immediately walk past me with their cigarettes/cigars. When you walk in the restaurant, you 're met with the style and elegance of the restaurant 's décor and the friendliness of the hostesses. We didn 't get to sit next to the windows, but given the layout of the dining area, you still have an adequate view of the downtown structures and lights. I was a little shocked to see that the windows weren 't as clean, especially for a steakhouse of this caliber. The noise level can be hit or miss because you 're situated right by the Fremont area and the restaurant itself can get a little loud. So if you 're a low talker, you may want to exercise those vocal chords ahead of time. Next, the service at this restaurant was hands down outstanding...and it was mostly contributed by our main server, Arianna. She was very friendly, attentive, professional, and highly efficient I can 't say enough positive things about her workmanship. Also, when I was sitting there, I couldn 't help but notice a couple things about the restaurant staff: (1) They were all moving efficiently (I used the term carpenter ants because they were constantly moving and working, and not just shooting the breeze with other employees); and (2) I think this restaurant probably has the most diverse staff I have ever seen out of all the LV steakhouses I 've visited thus far which to me, is great and speaks millions of the restaurant 's management...or maybe it 's just coincidental? For our evening festivities, we ordered the Johnny Quinn 's Crab Cake, Lobster Bisque, and Crazy Phil 's Onion Soup for our appetizers; Skuna Bay Salmon, Oscar 's 24 oz. Bone In Ribeye, and Manny 's 9 oz. Rib Cap for our entrées; Mac and Cheese, Grilled Jumbo Asparagus, and Glazed Mushrooms for our sides; and the Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie (a la mode) for our dessert. In short, I felt the appetizers, rib cap, salmon, and dessert were the star performers that evening. My ribeye kind of fell short of expectations because for one, it was cooked on the medium well, to well done side, when I initially ordered medium; however, it was seasoned great! The asparagus was overcooked and had a mushy consistency; I enjoy it better when it has a slight crunch to it. The mac cheese, mushrooms, and even the bread were good but nothing to write home to Mom and Dad about. This business has so much history behind it (you can tell by the pictures in the restaurant of Oscar Goodman with many famous people), to which you almost have to try it to say you have. Overall, this restaurant is a one and done type of visit for me. The experience was wonderful, but the food didn 't wow me enough to want to revisit. Of noteworthy mention, my family loved this restaurant...but they can write their own review if they want. Regardless of how I feel and the experience I had, I will still recommend
Oscar´s Steakhouse is a great place to go have a nice dinner. We went for a bachelor’s party, and we were about 12 or 13 people. We did make a reservation, and we were greeted at the entrance. The place looks a little bit old, but everything looks great and clean. I believe the place is in Old Vegas, so it´s a little far from the strip but not that far. We ordered some appetizers that were amazing, and the bread and butter were great. All the appetizers that we ordered were great and they were of a considerable size. Then we order the Oscar’s bone-in rib eye and the Tomahawk, and both cuts were amazing. We ordered them medium rare, and both came in perfect. The flavor and the texture of both plates was amazing, it really is one of the best rib eyes I have ever tried. Both of these are really big so they are great to share with other people and try more things with your group. We also ordered a couple of great bottles of wines to pair up with the meat for an incredible dinner. The service was amazing, very kind and professional people who really know what they are doing.
