Mon Ami Gabi - Las Vegas

Best breakfast spot as of yet! I loved the service, atmosphere and most importantly the food. Will definitely be going back soon!

Pros: delicious food as always, nice ambiance 5 stars Cons: staff passed by uncomfortably close throughout meal, server exuded unwelcoming attitude 2 stars Mon Ami Gabi (MAG is a must stop for every Vegas trip. Their kitchen lived up to expectations with a tasty frisée salad and lemony trout, perfect after a tiring walk around the hot and busy Strip. Usually I leave MAG refreshed and ready to dive into the Vegas bustle once more, but for the first time left feeling unsettled. For one, the staff kept brushing extremely close to me throughout the meal. I'm not sure if it was because the walkway was too narrow for them (we were sitting next to the kitchen . I was never bumped but close enough to disturb the tablecloth/my dress. It got to the point that if I saw someone walking towards me, I leaned away to avoid any accidents. It wasn't very relaxing to have to be constantly hyper aware of the situation. Secondly, I seemed to have gotten on the wrong side of our server, Jerome. Maybe it was because I didn't return his greeting swiftly enough (he greeted us once, then repeated it to me specifically . Maybe I took too long deciding on my order (he had to return to take our order . Whatever it was, his vibe was slightly aloof unwelcoming (compared to how he was to other patrons . Then he did something I've never seen a server at a nice restaurant do. At the end of our meal, when he went to take my empty plate, he first put trash on my plate in front of me, then picked up the plate from the table. He did it again 5 minutes later when he picked up my bf's plate put dirty cutlery from another table onto the plate, then picked up the plate from the table. (Both times his other hand was empty. If this had happened at a place like CPK or Cheesecake Factory, I wouldn't have blinked. But I have higher standards for an establishment with suited staff charging $30+ per plate. Quite off putting. I'll still return to MAG as their kitchen has never disappointed :

Jerome needs to go. The dude had a serious chip on his shoulder and ruined what's typically a great restaurant. Toward the end of our dining experience, after finishing our meal, the dude was bussing his group of tables. He gathered dishes from another table and placed them on our dishes which were on our table and took them to the back. He did that twice during our dining experience. It was funny watching this clown work

This place was amazing! My boyfriend and I were pretty bummed about the food in Vegas during our short trip but this place was really amazing. You get front row seats to the Bellagio fountains and people watching! The food was so good and the drinks are beautifully made. I will definitely be back for my next vegas trip.
