Bidra med feedbackLarge burgers, even according to US standards! The guy said they were going to be a chain of restaurants in Mexico. It was cool to visit the first.
Greg was one of the first guys to greet us at the magical place of San Jose. A great guy who cooks big burgers and serves the perfect end for your temazcal/mushroom experience with Navarro;
My friend Sally told me one night about this fantastic place on the way to the coast. When my buddy and I drove our rented motorcycles to the Pacific, we decided to stop for a burger, especially because we stopped for the night in San Jose Del Pacifico anyway. We drove twice through the burger stop before we saw and stopped the sign. It was worth the effort, the burgers were fresh, thick, juicy and delicious. We were disappointed that the owners were not available. The local couple that served us was pleasant and served us well. Your English was not the best, but servicable. The location is only on the side of the road along with other small kiosks. There was a plastic table and chairs available. A very authentic experience with a great burger. I'm sorry not to meet the owners. Maybe next time.
Still not sure how it happened...maybe it was a dream... Halfway to the coast from Oaxaca, right around the time we started to crave some grub, my wife says to me does that sign say 'Gringoburger? ' It did. We met Greg- the former bar owner/ski bum from Jackson Hole who now grills up the finest burger...ever? The menu is simple, Cheeseburgers, Hot dogs(he was out for the moment, says he won 't serve the **** that 99% of hot dogs in mexico are...was waiting for some all beef franks to be delivered) and beer. Hands down the friendliest, most delicious 7 'x7 ' little piece of heaven in southern Mexico. You must go.
Large share of frits, total decent prices, good burgers, unfortunately much too much larder, apart from bacon topping, good chili con carne. This place is now located 2 3 miles from San Jose, too far on foot, but the local transport is quite cheap. However, we had to pay the costs for a 200 gr burger for our RT in a local Colectivo.
