Caliche's Frozen Custard - Las Cruces

I ordered the Adobe Mud and it did not disappoint... Carmel, Espresso, Coconut and Oreo in one dessert makes for the perfect concoction in my opinion. It was delicious, but a bit overpriced. There is no place to sit inside and it was warm outside, so I took the custard back to my hotel room. Other people were eating on the bed of their trucks though, which gave it a fun, laid back/hang-out-type atmosphere. The staff was friendly and I learned the pecans (used for toppings on other desserts or as an add-on) are from local pecan groves.

Love this place! Never had a bad experience here. I highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake.

-Caliche's is such a treat every time we go. My family looks forward to our near-weekly visits. -However, to management: *Please* teach your employees to portion correctly! The average price of a sundae here is about $6 and they never fill the cup enough (see pics). It seems a bit stingy, and customers should get what we pay for. Otherwise, we love Caliche's ?

Yummy ? such a vast array of choices that it is hard to pick. I love to get the Gizmo with coconut. This time I did a make my own caliche with banana and caramel. You won't be disappointed here. The lines can be kind of long sometimes, but it's definitely worth the wait.

Ever since I discovered Caliche?s I?ve been obsessed! Nachos and hot dogs are perfect munchies, and their custard is addicting. My go to is the Italian ice mixed in with vanilla custard. Try everything on the menu at least once!
