Zaman Mediterranean Cafe - Laplace

I had high hopes for this place, mainly because I have an admiration for Mediterranean Cuisine. I was extremely disappointed. Although it looked nice, the environment was much less. I was appalled to hear the owner speaking freely about his feelings towards Americans and labeling white people as trash and black people as niggas My jaw dropped at how he seemed to not notice that anyone was in the establishment! How on earth can someone come to our country yet hate us all?? I would never go back, and honestly all I can say is pray that his belief is not shared by many. We have far too much to tackle each day as it is without being spit upon because we are Americans. Afterall, he did choose to come here....to live with us Americans.

I used to work here LET ME BE HONEST WITH YOU. THE PLACE IS NASTY THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL SMELLS LIKE DECAYING TEETH. THEY DO HAVE MICE YES I HAVE CLEANED THE TRAPS UNDERNEATH THE SWARMAS AND STOVES. FLIES EVERYWHERE IN THE BACK. ONE WORKER SWEATS ALOT BECAUSE OF THE ISSUE WITH THE AC AND DOESNT CLEAN HIS HANDS AFTER HE WIPES HIS SWEAT. THEY BARELY HAVE MONEY TO PAY THEIR EMPLOYEES. THEY BARELY CLEAN THE FLOORS AFTER GREASE HAS FALLEN ON THE FLOOR AND FOOD THEY JUST SWEEP THATS IT NO MOP OR ANYTHING. THE FREEZER ALWAYS HAS SOME TYPE OF OLD FOOD IN IT. DO NOT RECOMMEND AND THE FOOD ISNT EVEN GOOD.

Served RAW shrimp in my salad. Manager gave me problems and an attitude when addressed the problem. Racist establishment.

Over priced and the portions are small. The food taste like packaged food. I ordered take out and did not want the bread, rice or humus due to being on Keto. I ask for extra salad. When I got home after paying $30 for two dinners the portions were small and not enough food to feed a small child. Will not eat there again.
