La Mesa Mexican - Lansing

We selected from the wide range of lunch specials. Didn't see anything you wouldn't recognize if you like Mexican, but the quality was first class. The room is bright and clean with typical decor. The service was cheerful and effective if not overly prompt.

We had lunch here. I had the fajita taco salad and It was delicious!!! The margaritas were fantastic too. Our server was awesome and deserves extra bonus points. We started our lunch outside and had to move in after a pop up rain shower started.

They literally robbed me. I was the only customer there at the time and they sat me in a place where no staff could see me, then took forever to come take my order. Multiple times I had to walk around to find someone to ask for something. I wanted my tacos on corn tortillas and they came on flour. They were running a loud circular saw in the restaurant. Food was mediocre at best and I wasn't too upset about any of that, but then my credit card notified me days later that they charged me double the tip I know I clearly wrote down. Reading some other reviews this isn't the first time they've done that. How shameful.

A lot has changed since I was last here. The decor is nicer, sturdier even. Wait staff was courteous and efficient. Food was hot and fresh. The complimentary chips and salsa were tasty and the Grilled Chicken Fajita Chimichanga with sides was very filling. What absolutely made my day was the serving of Pepsi products ?
