Bidra med feedbackI recommend this culinary experience. The room itself is very small and intimate, but welcoming. The steak (Cowboy Ribeye) was delicious, juicy and enough to feed 2 people. One of the best steaks I've eaten for years. I am not, however, a great lobster fan; I would order her lobster Mac n cheese again and again. Delicious!!! Their asparagus and mushrooms were cooked for perfection. The only reason why I didn't give them a 5-star rating is because of their augratinine and salad. I can't honestly tell you how the potatoes taste when the presentation was so far for me that I couldn't get myself to taste it. It came out to pierce cutting discs, it was thick, saw a little dry and simply not appetizing. The salad was delicious (I ordered the grilled caesar salad) but I did not expect the salad to be grilled and come out as two huge wedges. I don't want to work so hard to eat a salad. Otherwise, I will definitely come back.
Believe the hype when you hear it! I took my husband here for the first time for my birthday and the experience was unforgettable! Amazing staff, great atmosphere and food (especially the Ribeye Steak) was mouthwater! We can't wait to go back!
Excellent meal. Our waiter, Kevin, was knowledgeable and helpful. Good suggestions made and very added to our experience. Below you can see the Filet Mignon, Escargot, Au Gratin potatoes, mushrooms for the fillet) and finally the Faroe Island salmon. The salmon and fillet were the stars of the show, cooked professionally and worth the price. If you are in Lansing, Michigan and need a place to eat, this place is worth your time!
Wow. The best steak I've ever had! The act was amazing. When they say it melts in your mouth, its no joke. Potatoes au gratin also amazing, and I am usually not a fan. They had an Ahi Tuna Appetizer special tonight, which could not be passed on, served on a bed of Arugula. To complete it, excellent service Garrett was great! Will be back soon.
It takes a pretty amazing experience for me to leave a review for most restaurants, and that is exactly what we got at Bowdies. My husband and I were in the area from Tennessee and decided to go to Bowdies for our 1 year wedding anniversary after seeing great reviews. The prices may seem high for a steakhouse in Lansing, but the quality of the food and drinks, as well as the professionalism of the staff make all of it well worth the money. As appetizers we had the escargot and the goat cheese, both of which surpassed our expectations. The goat cheese came out still sizzling from the hot butter and the escargot was exactly as I hoped. For our meat, we got the tomahawk steak which was perfectly cooked and our waiter sliced it in front of us at the table, taking extra time to explain the sections of the steak and the method of cooking it. Honestly, a knife was hardly needed as it seemed to cut like a hot knife through butter It was melt in your mouth perfection. For sides, we shared the honey glazed carrots and au gratin potatoes and were just as pleased. The wine and alcohol selection were extensive and offered options for just about any palette I got a glass of rosé and my husband got a whiskey sour (house made sour was fantastic, more of an orange base which really complemented the Jameson). The brownie dessert was the perfect way to wrap up a dinner of surpassed expectations. All wait staff was kind and knowledgeable about the food and drinks served there. We will be going back each time we come to Michigan in the future.
