Taco Tuesday is awesome, pulled pork nachos are out of this world!

Jon-Paul has created an amazing place. Great food, great atmosphere, music and of course the Alki Tavern Pool table. I just want to thank JP for what he has created just a little way outside Langley Washington. JP...... good on ya. Can’t wait to spend more time there in the future.

Got word it was Taco Tuesday . Had not yet tried out this re named/re menued place on Crawford along Highway 525 at the south end of the island. Meh. Won 't go back. Met a friend and we both got the tacos and an order of onion rings; pretty sure I have a bag of the same ones in my freezer. Tacos were small, street sized tacos (2/$5 and what we expected). But, the filling was the same as their bbq 'd pulled pork sandwich and w/a little purple cabbage (no sauce) and jalapenos (which we opted out of) ... nothing to write home about. When I think tacos I think seasoned meat, some sort of fresh salsa esque something on top. This just seemed like they had made too much bbq pork and needed an avenue to get rid of it. We asked for the siracha on the side never got it. It 's a seat yourself place and I had to ask 3 gals about getting a waitress before one came by and graced us for 18 seconds. She was cheerful but wasn 't going to spend ANY time at our table or come back and check on us or bring a check promptly. We waited a bit longer than expected for the food, too for a not very crowded Tuesday night. All in all I expected MUCH better from caterers turned restaurant owners/chefs. Disappointing.

I was skeptical about the hot dogs, but these are not your average wiener. I got the BBQ dog and it came with a pile of caramelized onions, cheese sauce, and crispy prosciutto. It was so good I didn't have time to take a picture. Also tried the salmon melt and it was delicious!

Great service, good food, great bar, open space, pool table, steel tip darts, outdoor seating, clean bathrooms and great entertainment.
