Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is a must-visit! The food is fantastic and the staff are incredibly friendly. You can pay whatever you feel is fair, and there is a donation box at the counter. I also appreciated the requirement to wash your own dishes - it's only fair given the quality of the food. Highly recommend giving it a try! -Max
I want to give a big shoutout to both Happy Cow and Walter007 for recommending this hidden gem. I was pleasantly surprised when the lady at Reception directed me to the vegetarian restaurant with the green door across from the hotel. The food here is freshly prepared and incredibly delicious. I especially enjoyed the dishes with generous portions of ginger, as well as the noodles with large mushrooms. One day, I was treated to tofu chunks in a spicy carrot and peanut sauce that I couldn't get enough of. The menu offers a variety of options, with new dishes rotating daily. Rice is always available, including brown or vegetable rice, along with a soup. Although there was a sign mentioning bread, I didn't see any during my visit. Many customers were filling tiffins to take home, so I decided to purchase a small box and pack some noodles for later. This came in handy, as vegetarian/vegan choices in Kuah and Langkawi can be limited, especially for those who prefer meat-free environments. On my last day, I informed the staff that I would be taking food on the ferry and they were accommodating. Payment is by donation, and I typically gave an amount similar to what I would spend at a restaurant, plus extra for taking food to go. I found the suggested 6-10 RM to be more than reasonable for the quality of food served. Additionally, the donation system is flexible and no one will judge your contribution. After enjoying a meal, patrons are asked to wash their dishes and return them to the drying rack, a thoughtful gesture that allows you to show appreciation to the kitchen staff. Overall, this restaurant was a fantastic find in Langkawi and made my time in Kuah truly enjoyable.
This is the second vegan cafe that I have given a 5 star rating to. It can be difficult to find vegan food in Langkawi compared to Penang or Kuala Lumpur, so discovering a vegan restaurant here is unexpected. There was very little information available online before, but thanks to Happy Cow, it is now easier to locate the restaurant, although it is not situated on the main road. However, once you find it, you will be delighted. The buffet-style offerings include a variety of vegan dishes such as rice and noodle soups, as well as beverages like coffee and homemade soya bean milk. The staff is friendly and accommodating - if they have run out of a particular dish, they will make a special order for you, like fried rice. The restaurant has been open for almost 10 years and still operates successfully, despite the small vegan population in Langkawi. The restaurant operates on a donation basis, which speaks volumes about its commitment to serving the community.
The sea and the most delicious vegans. a visit in this caffe is one of the best memories of langkawi.
We like this place as he is humble, but served nice enough to eat. there are not many veggie places on langkawi, so this restaurant feels like a blessing. eating is easy, but tasty and the people here are friendly. enjoy their meal :d
