Burgschenke Burg Nanstein - Landstuhl

Despite my reservation, the corner of a table was offered to me (of course I rejected in this COVID phase) many question marks for personal and service. and that was not my only visit.

Frankly, I am shocked that this place is not higher in the evaluation. it is simply a small restaurant with a wonderful owner and a delicious menu. the castle next door and the magnificent view from the mountain top of the country chair and...Ramstein come without a price. I started with a fantastic homemade pumpkin soup that was perfect for a wet and rainy november night. then I had the wild boar sausages frit with pommes. the sausages were wonderful and the fryers were cooked to perfection. I enjoyed all this with a delicious duel white German beer. okay, so I had three of them. it was pouring when it was time to go down the hill to the castle hotel, so the owner offered me a parachute to return with a handshake and one promise. I will do this if nothing more than to enjoy another beer! this place must move in the reviews!

Really good local food served in an atmosphere of the old historic Burg Nanstein as background and a scenery view over the entire valley from the restaurant. The food is really good, the service is excellent and the restaurant are placed at a top location....Just a few minutes walk from the city of Landstuhl along the Burgweg or trails in the forrest to this pearl in Landstuhl.
