Bidra med feedbackEarthworm kitchen are 100% vegan street food retailers who randomly have a pop-up in the apple pie cafe ambleside up to the 16th mai, so I had to visit before leaving the seen. because of the covid restrictions for the hospitality we had to sit outside, which was not a problem, as there were plenty of seats with much of it under the cover. I chose falafel wraptor, with phat thai for hubby, to share a page of simple loaded chips and two diet cokes. when the dishes were served, they were alive, colorful and looked amazing, we just wanted to dip in, so we did. the dishes were not disappointed, they were fantastic, full of taste, fresh and exciting, with noodles of vegan delicacies. earthworm kitchen now has me as a pendant on her social media sites, so I can find out where else they are, how they visit festivals and events. highly recommended.
I've had food from Earthwoom at a festival and have now visited the Kanteena. What a wonderful venue for a drink and for music. Earhworm's menu is short but has a good range e.g. burger, burrito and a curry. Severs in responsible plant-based trays but happy for you to take your own dish or tub.
Earthworm Kitchen are 100% vegan street food traders, who happened to have a pop up at The Apple Pie Cafe Ambleside until the 16th May, so I had to visit before leaving the Lakes. Due to Covid restrictions for hospitality we had to sit outside, which was not a problem, as there was plenty seating with much of it under cover. I chose falafel wraptor, with phat Thai for hubby, a side of plain loaded chips to share and two diet cokes. When the dishes were served, they were vibrant, colourful and looked amazing, we just wanted to dive in, so we did. The dishes did not disappoint, they were fantastic, full of flavour, fresh and exciting, with oodles of vegan deliciousness. Earthworm Kitchen now have me as a follower on their social media pages, so I can find out where else they are, as they attend festivals and events. Highly recommended.
While the food I tried from this van at the Equinox Festival 2021 was delicious, I have significant concerns about their food hygiene practices. I observed a server eating directly from a food bag with his bare hands, and then he proceeded to touch the food without changing his gloves. When I caught his gaze, he didn’t even acknowledge his unsanitary behavior. Given that we're in the midst of a global pandemic, basic hygiene protocols—such as washing hands after sneezing, coughing, eating, smoking, or using the restroom—should be non-negotiable. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t consider eating there again, and I would rate them zero stars if I could. This is an update on my previous review from September 21, 2021.
I've tried food from Earthworm at a festival and recently visited the Kanteena. It's a fantastic venue for drinks and live music. Earthworm's menu may be short, but it offers a nice variety, including items like burgers, burritos, and curry. They serve food on eco-friendly plant-based trays, but they're also happy for you to bring your own dish or container. In 2023, I found them at the Kendal Mountain Festival as well, and they were still excellent! This is an update from my previous review dated December 27, 2019.
