Bidra med feedbackThis Benedict falls at about a 4.3. At $15, it's a satisfying experience. The egg comes sunny side up, which doesn't really change anything flavor wise, but definitely adds to the presentation. The hollandaise was fresh and an impressive texture, but slightly under seasoned. It was saved by the delightful Italian Ham which had enough flavor for the both of them. Nothing to note about the E muffin, except perhaps a shaper knife is required. The side potatos were quite tasty, but I'm still not sold on potatos as a side to a Benedict. I've always found fresh fruit to be the way to go, but I digress. This is a solid Benedict, close to a 5.
While I was grateful that the nice hostess gave us a 20 min window period to wait, it was less than that. We were seated in a garage converted into 5 tables and a fan. Not the most conventional but practical and original and that made it work. Ordering was simple and easy. After the drinks that’s when it went downhill.We both ordered our meals and I opted to have the house salad as a starter.So the salad comes out dry. No dressing. No bacon. I ask the server if I could have both and she said she’ll ask them to make bacon since it doesn’t come with the salad?! (Bacon is right there on the menu as what’s included in the salad… just saying)She also advised that it’ll take a while for them to make it fresh and it most likely be brought out after the entree comes out.And it took 8 minutes for her to bring out the dressing. As that comes late, our food is up 2 minutes later. Scarfing down a salad to make room at the table isn’t fun.Crab Benedict was really good. The mimosa with their strawberry rijuice hit the spot.The Not so good… Waiting 20 minutes for our server to come over and only after I asked her if we cold have more water and a refill on their mint iced tea (very, very good iced tea btw) and watching her clean every table that exited before she realized we were waiting for the check.They’re all polite but it could be recommended the servers are more attentive and shouldn’t have to wait so long for water refill, get the dressing on the plate as it leaves the kitchen and know your menu.
One of, if not the best brunch in Lancaster. For going in on a Saturday at peak brunch time, we had no issue getting sat right away. The menu is pretty big and there is a large selection of cocktails.I was looking for something a little different in the cocktail department and found it with the hickory smoked BBQ **** Mary. This was made with bourbon instead of vodka. It was only $8 and tasted incredible. So many ****’s lack flavor but this was perfect.Do yourself a favor and order the pork belly breakfast tacos. You have a choice of two or three and are super filling. You have your tortilla and then they place the over medium eggs inside and top the egg with the pork belly, pico, queso fresco, cilantro lime and sriracha sauces. The flavors just blend so well together and that pork belly is so crispy and tender.The wife got the chicken salad croissant sandwich with the breakfast potatoes. The croissant has a nice, brown, crunchy exterior and just melts in your mouth. The dill chicken salad is chunky and the bits of bacon bring it all together. The potatoes were reminiscent of those you make over the campfire.The space is very small but the service and food is so worth it. The price was also very affordable.
So, the place still has the best breakfast food quality in Lancaster, hands down. But here are the cons. 1. When expecting guests, don't set the temperature to 62 degrees and have your teenage staff dressed in heavy long sleeved sweatshirts. It's off putting having those fans on high, with a cold breeze cooling the food in two minutes and chilling your guests to be so uncomfortable... 2. If you have ventilation issues with the kitchen and smoke, then improve the ventilation, and don't place that burden on customers with the fans. It's why I can't go back. Any one with contacts or dry eyes won't last 10 minutes in the multi-dust devil that is the dining room. No, there is no dust per se, because this place is so clean you could almost eat off the floor, but the overhead wind turbines are unpleasant, annoying and unnecessary. Honestly, how many times do guests have to complain before management gets a clue. Been there only about 30 times and every single time at least one or two tables complained to the staff.. others just complained under their breath and didn't want to make a fuss. Like me, they realized that I would rather have a more comfortable and anxiety free dining experience with less exciting menu options... The anxiety of guessing how long it would take until one of friends starts complaining about those fans. If you don't believe me, try it out. Great food, terrible weather conditions, polite and helpful staff. So that's about it. If you want spectacular food, and don't mind freezing gale force winds overhead blowing down on you, this is def your place.
Great place for breakfast lunch!! We have been here several times already and always had a great experience. Food is delicious and high quality. I recommend the pork belly tacos they are bursting with flavor and are delicious.The restaurant is cute and quaint; and it can get a little bit small and can get busy, so it's not a bad idea to get a reservation.But if you haven't been here yet, try it out!Vegetarian options: There are some vegetation optionsKid friendliness: Good for kidsParking: You'll need to find parking on the streets somewhere, or in a lot. Mostly paid parking but you might be able to find free somewhere farther away.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a few stairs needed to get in with no ramp. But there's also an outside part of the restaurant that a wheelchair could probably access.
