Bidra med feedbackGreat place to spend the evening. Watching America's favorite pass time is wonderful! The tickets are pretty cheap and the people who work here keep you very much entertained. I love coming here in the summer.
What a blast. I took my family out to Lancaster to watch the Lancaster JetHawks (A Minor league). They are the minor league team for the Colorado Rockies. We bought these tickets because we 've been out before, but tonight was sugar skull bobblehead night! It didn 't disappoint! The atmosphere was so fun, the food was great, the crowd was awesome. Lots of family friendly activities with a kids area to play, and lots of in game promotions like t shirt giveaways, dancing, music, and giveaways for local restaurants and activities. I even picked up the new El Viento hat, which they call themselves every Friday night when they celebrate diversity in baseball. And to cap the night off, amazing fireworks! Cmon! The tickets were very affordable, $5 parking, easy access right off the freeway, lots of restaurants around the stadium. Great family night out. Can 't wait to go back! Go JetHawks!
Being that it was roughly 90 degrees yesterday, seat cushions should've been offered upon entering. I never imagined plastic could get so HOT! Ouch! Everyone around us was offered the seat cushions but us. Kind of odd. Anyway, the park is nice clean. The food is reasonably priced there's $2 beer available if a player is struck out. Not bad. Being that it was Memorial Day, I did expect a bigger crowd. $5 parking, all in all, not a bad experience, minus my scorched buns. Yikes!
Best team and field in the sport. Have plenty of parking for $5. If you want to shaded spot come a little early. Plenty of entertainment and food to be had by everyone.
This review is 100% based on how much my daughter loves coming here. Since a day or night in a ballpark is a great day, why not express it here. This is my third time coming to the Hanger, and I have loved it every time. The jet hawks are the minor league affiliate to the Astro now, but they were the Red Socks last time I was here. First you go online and pick exactly where you want to sit. I recommend this because you don't hold anyone up if your indecisive, and, you can choose your row, seat, and section. Next, you print out your tickets and you're ready to go. (Tickets were $8-Adult, $7-children, but they are more at the door, I've heard. You pull up and it's only $5 to park. It isn't that large of a parking lot, so parking far away isn't really a concern. Then you're at the ballpark. As you walk in, they check your bags, backpacks, purses and coolers. If you think it might be cold, take a blanket, the little fleece throws they sell don't keep you warm, are small, and are $40. (I don't recommend buying one, I have 3, but at least they're cute. The service here is always friendly and warm, at least the people I have dealt with. We usually walk up and get a couple dogs or hamburger, since my daughter actually craves this. I think its just a plain burger, but she loves these things. Add a couple of pretzels, some peanuts, and some drinks and you are ready to PLAY BALL!!! The seats are nice, and since it is a small park, they are always great seats. They have a children's play area, a pitching booth to test your arm, and a grassy area that everyone sits and rolls around in. Every 7th or 8th inning, the kids get to run out on the field and chase Kaboom, he is the Jethawks Mascot. All in all, it is a warm and friendly family experience. We have seen kids at their first ballgame, to date night, to a woman not being able to go on her honeymoon, because I think she married one of the players, but I couldn't hear her entire conversation. If you are up this way, and you enjoy baseball, I highly recommend catching a game, just make sure you are ready and paying attention, they hit a lot of foul balls...
