Pret A Manger - Lambeth

Whilst staying at the nearby Premier Inn at Prescot Street I called into this Pret to get breakfast and take back to my room. Got a nice decaf Americano and a fruit, yogurt and granola topped pot, it was delicious. It was really busy but the staff worked hard to clear the queues. There is some seating but it is limited so probably better to plan to take your purchase away.

All I can say is the Posh Cheese and Pickle sandwich is the best I have ever eaten in my 47 years. I loved them so much that I tracked down the pickle recipe when I returned to canada and have made several since getting home.

As with all Prets I've visited so far, the food here is all freshly made with real ingredients and is of high quality. We received great service (my wife wants me to add here that the man who served us gave us a lovely smile) and there was plenty of seating so we never felt rushed. The wraps were great and the chocolate cookie was amazing. The prices are very reasonable for such good quality food in London. I'd go again if we're ever in the area. Brilliant vegetarian and vegan options.

The variety, the casualness, the great quality food! Everytime I get to London I get excited to eat at Pret A Manger!

Pret is great for a breakfast while staying at one of the close hotels with overpriced breakfasts. The hot porridge is a real hit for me. There are three very close to each other here with different opening times so check first.
