Bidra med feedbackOne of our favorite places in Lambertville! Love the bar vibe. The service is casual but friendly. We recommend a nice glass of wine, a seasonal salad, and a fresh pasta dish--the clams with capers is amazing. Enjoy!
Consistently the best food and atmosphere in the area. Ten times better than it needs to be for a small town eatery. Feels like a good New York restaurant: great bar, dining and energy inside. Beautiful relaxed open patio outside. All topped off with such insanely delicious food. Never disappoints.
Slow , slow, slow service. Arrogant waiter. When he finally came for our order, we wanted to order appetizers right away and were told we needed to order entrees and dinner together because they only had one chef? We ordered their steak special , medium well and was told the chef wouldn't cook it that way , Medium was the max temperature. We said ok and it came out medium rare anyway . Then , we were told they were going to add a 20% gratuity because we had 6 people? That's ok I guess , but this should have been discussed before hand, not after . I would rate 2 stars but pasta, fried cheese appetizer and atmosphere were good .
Tonight I had the good fortune to dine at DeAnnas. This place is small but packs a might does of deliciousness with every course! Tuesday and Wednesday's are local nights with a $25 pre fixe menu for three courses. The decor is fantastic. Walls are lined with couch type seating that was very comfortable. They change the decor seasonally and put a lot of work into the interior as well as exterior. We were welcomed with a bread option of garlic or regular bread. We opted for garlic and the bread came out warm, smothered in yummy butter and garlic. So delicious! It was hard to pick which items to try because the prefix menu offered several options. I went with the savory bread pudding appetizer because it's something I had never tried. The marinara was delicious. They was perfectly melted cheese, flavorful sausage and several vegetables packed in a perfect size ramekin. Be sure to save some of that delicious garlic bread for dipping! The chicken cacciatore was a larger portion then I expected and came with a nice size side of home made pasta. The chicken was boneless thigh meat that was juicy and full of fresh rosemary and vegetables. The pasta was my favorite. It was doughy in a good way And clearly had just been made. I was too full for dessert so I took mine to go. There were at least 5 options with all being made in house. Before going I had checked out the yelp reviews. There were several complaints about the service but I didn't experience anything except for attentiveness and knowledge of the food. Our glasses were never empty and we never needed anything but were checked in multiple times during our meal. The space is small for serving and waitresses and food runners took time to coordinate with each other to do their best. One last comment! I asked to use the ladies room mid meal. As I walked in I was shocked that the chef, DeAnne, was right there cooking all the good stuff. She even stopped and said hello! I can not wait to return! Next time I'll be ordering a pasta entree.
After moving to town my boyfriend and I kept passing the Bar sign and keeping it in the back of our heads, gotta check it out! We came here a few weeks ago on a super packed locals night and though we waited a while for our food, we really loved our dishes. Service was slow but the kitchen really picked up the slack. I know they have some fresh home made pasta and it 's something I never ever crave so when this craving hit, I knew where to go! I made some reservations, just in case, which was not needed. We waited for them to set us up even though I had a feeling we 'd have a better experience at the bar, which was okay. After 10 minutes of being told we 'll be right with you and newer customers being served first, we headed to the bar instead. Took a little while to find something we liked but I ordered their Arabiata and he ordered their Rib Eye, with a little love, I mean bread. The kitchen was a little slow for being a more quiet night, but I can 't complain... the flavors were all there! Sadly, my boyfriend discovered his medium rare steak was in fact very raw, and while waiting about 8 minutes to ask the bartender to just heat it up for a quick minute he kinda got turned off so he sent it back, bummer. It looked so good. So for me, I really really love the food, I think the chef is kick ass and knows their flavor. I acknowledge the kitchen is quite slow, and because of that it backs up the front of the house, pretty good if you ask me. Both times we had not so great service, but hey! It happens. (Sorry for my blurry pictures)
