Bidra med feedbackOrganic ice cream with regional fruits like conicaliba, cocona, aguaje, camu camu, etc... great choice for vegans
This small café is located in a block of the University Museum (via the street). I stopped for ice cream that was delicious (cacacao and nueces) chocolate and nuts, ended with a pitcher of passion fruit juice. Sitting back and had Guanamana juice, which was also... excellent. Maria Elena (owner) has her factory in her back and grows many of the fruits they use. Worth a moment.
I was amazed about the diversity of flavors among local fruits and the typical ones plus the fact that ice cream are like home made, definitely it's a very interesting place. Also, I was amazed about the bathroom, the cleanest I've ever seen all around...the jungle.
After having tried many average ice creams around town,I found this small place with the best ice cream in town by far. Only a block and a half away from the main square (about 150 meters they also have a very good wi fi speed and an open...courtyard for warm or nice days (you don´t want to visit the rainforest to be on an enclosed roofed area..... This is one of the places I know you´ll not regret visiting. They carry many different native fruit ice creams, service is friendly and I really liked the fact that they had many gay workers, something that you scarcely see on the peruvian highlands or coast areas where they are homophobic. I enjoy inclusion and democratic free will and respect of any peaceful way of life. An advice will be to try the 'sampler ', its ten small balls of different flavor so you can try many 'new ' local fruits without risking being dissapointed and after know which local flavor you enjoy better : The cocoa (chocolate and coffee ice creams where my favorite.
