Bidra med feedbackAs a guest in a 4-star resort like this, I expect room service. Or a kind of food available on the property. No menus in the huge pool, no food at the hotel. I went around in my swimsuit for 30 minutes like an idiot. Second try... online it said it had a breakfast voucher. Wrong. My eggs were watery, unobstructed. No tastes for coffee / latte. Toast was cut miracle bread cold. Call me a Prude whatever.. but I am in this property for 3 days is super annoyed that this is my only way to eat. With all these drunken people who wander around, you would think that there is easier access to quality, inexpensive food.
The only reason this restaurant is still in business, is because there is no alternative. We are staying at the Lakeway resort and have 'dined ' in this restaurant two nights in a row. The first night was forgetful, overpriced and painfully slow, which was surprising since we were the only table on a Thursday at 6pm. The following night however, we decided to go again out of lack of options. The restaurant was about 1/4 full and we ordered cocktails and the nights special appetizer of oysters on the half shell. 90 minutes later we received our appetizers which were on salt, not ice which was totally abnormal. Two of the couples we were with sent it back because it was so odd. My husband and I ate ours, and while it was the worst oyster experience of my life, I think they were safe... Then comes the main course. My husband ordered the same club sandwich he had the night before, however this time it was so incredibly spicy!! There was absolutely no reason for the spice. It wasnt on the menu that way and the only explanation is retaliation for spending back the oysters. I literally will never step foot in that restaurant again.
I would always order the Mesquite Baby Rib, Blue cheese Pizza again. Very nice view for date night and great service.
Celebrating our tenth year wedding anniversary! Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. Manager Bhye was extremely attentive and made sure we had a great experience from the minute we walked up to the door. Recommended to anyone who wants some quite time (in January)and great food.
If we could rate them 10?? we would. Ina, the kitchen manager, the hostess, Cake, each of our servers for many meals we had there were great. The chef at the TR restaurant is a talented awesome chef!! The New York steaks melted in our mouths, the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. Even their Build your own Burger was tasty juicy. The sweet potato fries sliced pickles were even homemade! We loved the pickles so much that Ina (restaurant manager) brought us extra pickles to take with us. The breakfast omelettes were light large, the Apple smoked bacon, fried potatoes hit the spot. The Texas waffles and the French Toast with coconut caramelized bananas were best ever! Superb, hand selected employees!
