Bidra med feedbackBattered snapper was thick/dense/hard and the thick doughy batter came off the fish in one piece making it difficult to eat together. The chips were ok but bright yellow/off putting. Generous serving but not nice to eat so ended up in the bin. Do not...recommend. Tartare sauce was like a gel -yuk.
Very nice fish and chips. good portion sizes. fresh fish fillets seen in the cabinet and each freshly scattered for them at order. gummy whiting were both delicious. chips too. ananas fritte with zimt and sugar was tasty and finished with hot jam...donuts after reading mixed reviews on so many fish chips shops in lakes entrance, this appeared to be visited by natives plus it was one of the few open on melbourne cup night. there are easy parking right in front of the front. I would eat fish and chips from here again happy.
Unfortunately not in the position to be able to better evaluate this fish and chip shop. as a lover of calamari I ordered them with chips while my wife had a fish. my calamari was simply terrible, driping with oil, unpalatable. the fish of my wife was much more beautiful, but nothing special. we both felt blooming and unpleasant after. it is to be understood by the past that the owners do not go out of their way to return in a satisfactory way their business after the covid lockdown.
Sad, I think they hurried too close. The chips were quite boiled, a really bright yellow and glittering with fat. the diligent fell from our fishing when he lifted the paper. possibly the worst fish and chips we've ever had, quite sad for a...town that should have great seafood.
I hate to leave constructive critikens as chefs. some things with this restaurant should be addressed immediately. our service was good, the young antiperson who took our order, really wanted to do a good work, it seemed easy that he did not fully versed in. the menu still ask to order regarding allergies / to answer intolerances. to be uncertain what the main scattering in the fish and chip shop, if the only two ingredients are flour and water not the best impression. Unfortunately, they can see the process behind the chefs who make the food. there is a good system to do the job efficiently, but only with a manager and 5 cooks that are uniquely new to gastfreundschaft should not be something that can be seen if they can ensure that they are all well versed in food safety.
