Bidra med feedbackIf you are craving Vietnamese pho and expecting warm and friendly service so you can enjoy your meal...this may not be the place to go. After we parked our vehicle in front of the restaurant.. we noticed the open sign blinking but saw note on the door we will open at 5pm .. we thought okay we can wait while we snack on nuts in the car.. male worker noticed us and removed the sign on the door.. we felt grateful and relieved until we walked in happily and smiling saying thank you to that male worker. He responded with a rude glance sat us on a unprepared and unwiped just used by previous customer table ..and he takes the 2 menus from a clean table and dumps it on our assigned table..takes our order still with a unwelcoming attitude..and brings our bowl of pho almost ... like a mean /grumpy dog owner feeding its pet.. I feel bad writing this .. deluxe pho was generously filled with meat so that we appreciated.. but spring rolls filled with too much noodles as fillers and tasted like it was fried in old oil. We liked the Thai iced tea. Bathroom was and smelled clean. We are pretty generous when we leave a tip...this time not. Except for this Tip: We definitely will not eat here again.
This restaurant have good location and food but service is rude the waitress doesn't have any patience be ready to order or she can give you actitud. I, know place's better that this I,am not coming back.
No wonder why they are closing doors, and trying to sell their restaurant on Craig's List. I am after a restaurant to buy and find this place on Craig's List. As they are only 3 miles, and very close to my house, responded to an ad and went to see the owner (s) to talk to them. There was a lady who showed me the kitchen. As a chef and restaurant owner, I am very particular, about how clean, or; how dirty the kitchen is. And after being in commercial kitchens for over 35 years, I absolutely can see everything. This kitchen was filthy, with tons of Health violations, and if I was the health inspector; I would shut their doors, in a matter of minutes. For example; they had some half-frozen chicken pieces, in the kitchen colander, and the juice from that was all over the table, and the floor. The floor was dirty, and you would notice, it was not moped for a long time, with a lot of garbage on it. I love Pho and was going to have my lunch over there and decided not to. Think twice, before eating in this place.
For better or worse, this is where I originally fell in love with Phò! Great because there's no better in my experience. But it does make it hard when you try and get some somewhere else and it lacks the rich delicious broth that's the foundation here. They're salad rolls are also among my favorite. If you're a phò fan, do yourself a favor and check this place out ASAP!
Last time I visited Lavang's was when they where in the old Rosewood location, that's been over 12 years ago, with relocating back to the area for work, I drove by their existing location and had to stop in, as being Thai, that was my first time I had PAD Thai, and I loved it, and still today, its my bench mark. I made a change up and had the PHO, and it was super great, your going to see a lot of post about the owner being brash and rude, what ever, Chris has always been great to me, he's direct, he backs his restaurant and he is Chris, I love the food and that is what will make me continue to go.
