El Cochino - Lake in the Hills

El Cochino has the best Korean BBQ tacos around. I really like the expanded menu options (I believe this was a recent change) and friendliness of the staff.

Just love the place. Mexican with a Latin fusion. I had the Pedro dinner plate, Al Pastor tacos, chicken wings, chili, guacamole, and 2 types of Pico. A great blend of flavor for all of the items, chili flavor was a 10 in my books. Ambiance was great, music has been great both times we have eaten there. Looking for a different style of Mexican you can do wrong here. Bon Appetite

We finally got to try El Cochino and it was everything I was hearing about! We went out for our anniversary and they made it very special. Thank you for helping us celebrate! I had three different Tacos and each one was amazing. I think the fish taco was our favorite. My wife got the Steak and Shrimp bowl. Everything was so fresh, ingredients, salsas, and sauces. Our food came out really quickly and well presented. Of course we had drinks and those were just as good! We will be back this week … – show

Had my doubts walking in and I should've listened to my gut…ordered a mango margarita and it tasted sour not sweet…ordered wings as an appetizer, tasted like fried in old grease and last was the elote(corn)…horrible. tasted like it was from a can! We tried this place on Saturday evening rather than driving into Chicago to try Pink Taco. The place is very cute inside. Not really a big place, but a clean and trendy place. We ordered traditional margaritas with sea salt to start......UMM WOW. The BEST margarita I have ever had. This tasted fresh. Not like margarita mix that you usually get. I was insanely impressed.
