We attended a special dinner for Hawaii Seafood Month and Chef Lee Ann Wong created an incredible meal. We learned a lot about invasive species a d the local fishing industry. So glad we went!
The french toast was AMAZING! Service was a little slow at the beginning, but I just figured this was due to COVID and that we were a little earlier in the day- it did not effect the overall experience. The servers were wonderful once we were greeted. Would definitely eat here again!
Service was slow for an event experience. 2-1/2 hours is a long time for dinner. Restaurant wasn’t full. Chefs creations were really good and unique
We came to Papa’aina to experience top chef Leeann’s tasting menu. We were greeted, seated, served drinks, refilled consistently, and had interactions all with gracious people whom were wonderful. We loved the Coconut chai rum drink and each of our dishes. We have visited multiple top chef alumni and this has been our favorite experience so far. Would of loved a picture or been able to say hi but she was slammed in the trenches which deserves its own respect/appreciation. Our only small critique was that we felt there was too much time between dishes but we justified it easily for the quality of food and service we received during COVID influenced times.
