Roux Creole Cuisine - Laguna Beach

Reserved the restaurant for the evening for wedding dinner and was very impressed with the staff’s stellar service! Wow, haven’t had service this well in quite awhile and they were all super friendly and attentive to everyone’s needs.The food, although I’m not well acquainted with creole food, was superb. Everything was delicious and they did not skimp on the amounts either.It’s a small venue but in my opinion well worth the experience.

Fabulous! Such a lovely cozy restaurant, wonderfully attentive and friendly server, and absolutely scrumptious food! The shrimp and grits were to die for as well as the catfish. Shrimp was cooked to perfection and the entire dish was bursting with flavor. They do Louisiana proud!

This was a taste of NOLA on the west coast. The rue on the Gumbo was spot on dark color. My preference is a little thicker on the rue but still wonderful. I was worried they would not have any Louisiana hot sauce or at least a cayenne hot sauce but glory be they did. Next time in town hitting the jambalaya. Outstanding job you guys.Food: 5/5

The shrimp and grits , meatloaf, oysters and cornbread were amazing. The buttermilk pie for desert was fantastic. The wine selection was top notch. And Tracy was the best hostess/server. So sweet and knowledgeable. Highly recommended the place for an amazing homey creole experience!
