Bidra med feedbackThe cuisine is good and resembles that of mothers or even grandmothers without a doubt. Taste, generosity, simple but authentic and well cooked. The buffet format is a little disappointing on Sundays (fairly high price (especially for children) and therefore quite limited choice of dishes and meat (rice, pasta, honeyed ham and beef stew. A few vegetables but the whole remains quite simple). For desserts or gumbo you will have to ask. The atmosphere is very canteen and lacks a bit of finesse (very very noisy). However, it remains a good restaurant, especially in this area. there is little competition!
So good! Had a salad with hamburger steak peas and mashed potatoes. Yummy
The size portion was of a kids meal for the single fried shrimp plate. The french fries were good but the shrimps on both my husband's and I plates were fried too long.
Cajun food that is both delicious and very reasonably priced! Great atmosphere and good service.
My wife and I both had the special luncheon plate. This includes a bowl of gumbo. And an entree. Today's entree was pork stew over rice. A side of corn; which was actually corn cut directly off the cob and then sugared. A biscuit, and dessert. My wife had the plant based chocolate cheesecake which was very scrumptious and rich.. I had the Apple cobbler which was also quite tasty. Drinks also were included in the 10.95 price and we both had iced tea. If you're going to go to Vermilionville, I recommend eating at the restaurant.
