Bar Laitier Lowe - Lachute

The sign for Lowes Dairies in the middle of the main road is misleading and has nothing to do with the previous ice company on 726 Main Road. The location on the main road, where Dunkin Donuts or La Belle Province used to be, does not serve real milk. Instead, they only offer gelato and soft ice cream. When I first visited, I spent $32 on 1 Gelato, 2 Blizzards, and 1 soft cone dipped in chocolate. Later in the summer, I found the real Lowes Milk location where they offer a variety of hard ice cream flavors. This location is on the main street near Anisso restaurant and the flea market. If you're looking for authentic Lowes ice cream, this is the place to go.

Despite the proximity of the ice factory, it does not mean that the ice cream served at this establishment is cheap. We ordered two small soft serve cones with dip and the total came to $11! The ambiance of the store's terrace is pleasant and we were excited to give this place a try, but the high prices will likely deter us from returning.

Although the menu advertises Gelato, they only have one flavor available (lemon and raspberry). Additionally, there is a Queue de Castor Franchise next door, which is highly recommended. The restaurant is clean with indoor and outdoor seating options, and has a spacious parking lot.

We had just enjoyed a great meal at the Au Charbon Restaurant on Lachute's rue Principale (Main Street) and then went to the dessert of Lowe. This ice bar offers a wide range of locally produced ice cream (since the 1940s), sunflowers, etc. Seats in the indoor and outdoor areas on a terrace. Fast, friendly and efficient service. Clean furnishings. Very popular.

This is the place for ice cream lovers! Lots of choices for ice cream, hard or soft. The menu states Gelato, but unfortunetly they only have one kind (lemon and raspberry). They also have the Queue de Castor franchise next door which is totally awesome. Nice clean place with tables inside and outside. Large parking lot.
