Five-o Island Grindz - Lacey

Ordered loco moco, somen salad pumpkin crunch. Hamburger was ok with brown onion gravy. Mac salad was bland even with celery. There was no extra sauce with somen salad and sauce was already flavored with noodles. I'm used to plain noodles and you add sauce when ready to eat. It didn't have any fish cake : . Pumpkin crunch had a bit too much cinnamon for my liking. Crust was good though. Friendly staff. Truck is in a gravel lot with 2 other food trucks. I miss food from home and was hoping this experience would satisfy some cravings but I was a little disappointed for the money I spent ...approximately $25 . Didn't get pics of the other items.

The Kahlua pork was dry and flavorless. Needed more seasoning. There was very little cabbage mixed in with the pork too. The rice was dried out and the macaroni tasted bland with too much mayo.

Went there today for lunch, so glad I did. The chicken curry was really good, lots of flavor. The macaroni salad was really good as well. Will go back again!!

Super nice experience, just chatting up and getting awesome food. Today 50% of profit goes to the National Kidney Foundation, who doesn't love that!

Tried them today, as I had to go the Post Office. Got the chicken curry, as I really enjoy curry. This curry was very weak in flavor, as if watered down. Good amount of potatoes and chicken, but a little deceiving as there was rice under the curry besides the scoop of rice. Also the macaroni salad was bland. I will go back as there are some dishes that intrigue me, but they don't have them all the time.
