Casa Azzurri - La Unión

The location on a small courtyard was very nice. We took different main courses I.e both pasta and pizza, which was ok. Would have liked to have more spices eg. Herbs. The staff was friendly.

Very reasonable, always good quality of food, the kids love the dishes, friendly staff, cant go wrong if you don't feel like cooking.

Im my opinion the best pizzas in the area and very good price! some so called Italian restaurants charge double price for a pizza and are not as good! Nice restaurant made with some great wooden areas.

Went with my family including my 8 month old son. The service from two young gentleman was dire.... extremely slow and we were the only people in the restaurant (around 7pm on a weekday) we were probably there 1.5 hours with no starters and just one drink! The service may have been terrible but the food was good (portion size a little small but ok). One thing that did bother us was that we asked for Malibu and Diet Coke and they brought it to us already mixed (not known a Spanish restaurant to do this in the La Manga area) and it tasted very weak so we felt a little cheated there. On the whole I won’t be rushing to go back to the restaurant purely for the service. We did try again, this time with a takeaway from its sister restaurant on La Manga Club Resort and after being told it’d be 30-35 minutes it took over an hour and wasn’t worth the wait... such a shame.

We went to Casa Azzurri in Los Belones. For a lunch. The owner Gigi (Big Juventus fan) Was very hands on. Working the floor in the kitchen and the bar. I asked him to just give us a variety of dishes to fill the table for four people. He put down at first some little tit-bits for us to pick at. So I was a bit worried!! Then out of the kitchen came these mixed array of pasta, rice and pizza bread dishes. WOW!! The taste was mouthwatering. Home made small pizza breads done with pistachios. There was also a Risotto, was the best I’ve tasted. We asked him about it. His wife (Silvia) got the recipe from his mother, His words! Silvia cooks it better than mia mamà The kitchen staff are a credit to the restaurant. And the floor staff were so helpful/professional. If your looking for great food and excellent value for money. Give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed.
