Bidra med feedbackWe have visited this restaurant a few times. The food is always excellent as is the service. There was a very high tide the evening we were there it gave the feeling of being on an island. Unless it is a very warm evening would suggest sitting inside, it can be quite cool by the water
I have reviewed this restaurant before but was back for lunch last week and thought I must update, normally here for dinner I had forgotten how pleasant it is to sit on the terrace here and smell the sea air whilst looking over the oyster Claires behind the restaurant. As usual Vero and her team made us welcome and we both took her recommendation of the dishes of the day, my wife had eels in parsley and garlic and I had monkfish in a beurre blanc with carrots and beans in the sauce. Both were fabulous ,This restaurant also serves the best oysters in the area supplied by Veronique's brother. One thing guaranteed I will be back
We have used this restaurant for a number of years and have always had a great welcome from Vero, Didier and all their team . Situated on the Greve (pier) that reaches out into the estuary of the Suedre from La Tremblade it was I suspect an old oyster producers cabin built over the Claires and part of the fun is watching the sun come down over the water . Excellent sea food ,do not miss the oysters Vero's brother is an oyster fisherman and they are great. For value for money try the 6 oysters to start followed by a sea food buffet A volonte ,i.e. as much as you want, Crabs, mussels ,Langoustines prawns shrimps cockles winkles and so on and on and on!!! great value for under 30 euros
Overlooking oyster beds this restaurant possesses an ideal ambiance for enjoying good food and wine. Several differently priced table d'hote menus are available. Following a superb saumon marine as an entrée, my wife opted for seabass (bar) as a main course and wasn't disappointed. An entire grilled fish accompanied by impressively presented vegetables was provided. I had an assiette de fruits de mer which proved an excellent choice and included tortue, langoustines, moules, amandes, crevettes roses, huitres, bulots etc. Wine is available in variously sized carafes or by the bottle. Staff are friendly and attentive don't expect too much English spoken so an ideal opportunity to practice your french. The only negative relates to the high price charged for a kir cassis compared to other restaurants frequented in the area. However it is la greve!
Very poor service and unfriendly Food was terrible Don’t goo there and waste your money Moules and frites are horrible
