Bidra med feedbackProbably the worst restaurant we experienced in the Toulon region. Service was Kurt, food very mediocre and cleanliness doubtful. There were few diners, but the adjacent restaurants with good menus were full, so our choice of this restaurant. The menu du Jour of... another diner and his son was only half eaten and our shells dish was rather tasteless with many shells not opened, but served us. The lack of care and attention through the range of waiters was unbelievable and a comment about the food was ignored. Coffee does not order arrived, amazing how this restaurant survives. The staff needs a lesson in customer care, and the cook should be eaten by the amount of food that is not eaten by the few diners this day. One hour to serve a bottle of water, a bowl of mussels with chips and a request for the bill was was wasted an hour. Sad to give such a negative report.
This is the second time we eat there. We were happy for the first time, but today we were disappointed. Soggy salad, tuna was cut into two parts (the last we got since we ordered two, but had to go on a menu with... Change beef instead) and one part was good, the other was strange. Hard to cut with too many “Dings” not chewable. French pommes were not ready to pare. It seemed that the cook wasn't there and someone else had to do it. This time wasn't good. Cesar Salat was okay. Wine was great.
There are a number of beach restaurants next to each other. They vary in their menus and this year we thought Le Provence Plage was probably the best without the larger facilities on the beach. For lunch we shared an antipasti and I... a saladniçoise, both illustrated in my photos. Absolutely beautiful. And of course there is the pleasure of being directly on the beach, shaded by the hot sun one of the reasons why Les Sablettes is so attractive in September. Although the administrative part of La Seyne sur Mer, Les Sablettes is quite separate and has its own identity. Unfortunately, they are hooked together by TA, making it difficult to select restaurants. Even if you're in Toulon, get through the bus block. The only trip is worth 2 euros and you can go to all Les Sablettes restaurants and use the beach.
The spaghetti bolognese was not nice and the risotto came half hot and half cold which makes me believe that it has been heated in a microwave. The kids steak meal was a scraggy burger that was poorly cooked. The fries were the best thing...there and also the staff were good. This was a waste of 60€ sorry.
We had an amazing time on Sablettes Plage and tried this restaurant for lunch and it was so good we came back a further four times. We generally went for the plat du jour which was always first class. The restaurant is right on the...sea front and very busy on every visit and the waiters did a fantastic job of keeping everyone happy and being friendly etc. We had to wait a while but nothing unreasonable at all. The restaurant offers fish, meat, pizza and pasta and probaly other things we couldnt translate!
