Rocinante - La Plata

We were on Rocinante late Sunday afternoon, by chance when we drove by. From the main road (Avenida 44) it looked like little more than a fat spoon, but with few options we had to stop. When we walked around the corner, we saw that the greasy spoon side only took out one branch and was the front of the restaurant on the side street. From experience with restaurants in Argentina in other cities in the past, I immediately closed this place would serve a good meal. That and much more. My bife de lomo was the largest I've ever been served with wonderful taste and light texture that separates Argentine bife de lomo from the US file Mignon. That was undoubtedly the best steak I ate. In the following days we dined in the recommended restaurants in El Califate and in Buenos Aires (Palermo one of the oldest and most recommended parillas in the capital), and that was better. Papa's fritas were crisp and perfect. My wife and I both shared and were very happy. Our friends' bife de chorizo was also very good, and the traditional parrilla eaten by family with us was also very good. At the latest on Sunday afternoon the restaurant was almost packed and we were the only non-Spanish diners. Service was as I expect in a good restaurant outside the tourist areas in Argentina. This is, rarely attentive, but at the end the work is done. My only concern would be to find this place again, as the La Plata road numbering system is difficult to understand. But if we had the opportunity to ever be back in or near La Plata, I would make the effort to find Rocinante. A very unforgettable day for this restaurant.

Fuimos a cenar, me gusto mucho la comida y la bebida.. Muy buena atencion... Se puede ir en familia.. A mi particularmente me parecio un poquito caro, pero lo vale!

Buena comida, Recomendable, precios accesibles. Buena atención e higiene. El lugar es pequeño pero se encuentra una mesa siempre. La ubicación es buena dado que está afuera de la zona céntrica y es fácil estacionar.

Teníamos reserva a las 21 h.s. Llegamos 10 min antes, había dos familias recién llegadas, tmb...tardaron 45 minutos en traernos la comida, y la mini mayonesita que te dan al principio obviamente se termino rápido!!! La comida llegó fría....rica, pero fría!! Tenían solo 2 mozos y el lugar en 30 minutos se llenó!! Dps pedimos postre, que estaban bien, y pedimos la cuenta, que tmb tardo mucho en venir!!! Si la cocina fuera mas dinámica y tuvieran mas personal, estaría muy bien!!

Buen lugar, a veces te hacen esperar innecesariamente en la puerta porque tienen poco personal. La atención es buena aunque se nota que los mozos tiene mucho más trabajo del que pueden manejar. De un tiempo acá han mejorado la calidad de los platos, sobre todo de las pastas que son sabrosas y abundantes. El precio es razonable, no excesivamente caro. Es una buena opción para cenar.
