George's Restaurant - La Paz

Being raised around the shores of SAmerica, I consider myself am an expert on seafood. I am extremely critical of how it is prepared and served. This restaurant prepares the best grilled fish, albeit that I am bilingual and was able to talk to the chef how. I liked my fish. I have to admit he did it to perfection. Highly recommend the place.

In town for five days and this was the last meal we had. In a word… Fantastic! Service was great. All the ingredients were fresh, bountiful and the meals were full of flavor. Food was exceptional. Open air kitchen with all of the produce visible. Beautiful setting for a restaurant that has an amazing history. Our server, Ulysses, made our daughter's birthday dinner one to remember. Also – the manager, Caroline was very helpful and shared many anecdotal stories about the history of George's and the surrounding geography. The live music performed by "Juanito"and his daughter were something out of a movie. Can't wait to return. I have all of the items on our short list to return to Cabo for, George's is right up there toward the top. Love it!

Best breakfast and dinners that we had in San Jose. Chef Louis is amazing. Good service and Margaritas were great.

If you’re staying at Secrets Los Cabos & want to swim in the ocean, they will refer you to take a taxi (or walk) to the marina in this area. There are no outdoor showers, so be prepared for that. Pack a large beach bag & smuggle a towel or four! The beach is used by locals, so it would be useful to know the phrase, “¿Dónde está el restaurante de george?” Another tourist stopped us to insist that we try this place, and we're so glad we did. George's blows the resort food away. The waitress was bilingual and made excellent recommendations. The fried peppers and steak fajita were wonderful. The flour tortillas were made fresh to order. The salsa was also fresh & delicious. The margaritas were fantastic. If you go only to swim, you're missing the highlight of the area. Go to George's!

George's Restaurant is attached to La Marina Inn near the Puerto Los Cabos marina. It's a short walk from the docks.We've visited the restaurant many times over the years and we like the new updates. It's still a laid-back and casual place with fresh food and drinks, but the new decor has given it a bit more life. Some of our menu favorites include the shrimp cocktail and fresh catch of the day. The tortilla soup is different than any I've ever had...but in a good way!
