La Mirador - La Oliva

Splendid semi open air restaurant overlooking the old harbour. Has an excellent sea view with great opportunities for sunset watching. Great menu selection, with large, tangible menu boards (not these b....y on line based things) Indulged in my favourite house dish of fish fillet in a prawn sauce, with rice, always excellent and good value A popular venue, where reservations are often advisable.

Got 8 tapas. Very basic. Chicken was inedible. Fish was tasteless .nothing was even average about it. Expensive for what we had. Probably justgetscustom because of its location

We very much like having a beer, on the lower terrace with the red chairs, to watch the sun go down or alter in the year in the late afternoon to watch the waves. It is a great spot. Carlos is always very friendly, and the Amstel is preferable to Dorada or Tropical.

Had a fantastic meal great quality food and amazing view of the sunset over the sea. We had the steak and the lamb and both were great quality and tasted amazing. The lamb was a really generous portion and must have cooked for hours to be so soft. Staff friendly and made us feel at ease although we don’t speak much Spanish.
