Mr. Steak - LA MAGDALENA CONTRERAS

Wait here tonight, as we say in Obergon on the way to PV. Absolutely brilliant steak dinner. We ordered the steak, which served 2 people and a supplement of Caesar salad and asparagus. The waiter was excellent as the food....The price was very good. I would recommend it to everyone.

Late for lunch, my three colleagues and I have been excellent service, including guacamole on the table made by our waiter. My Ribeye Steak was fantastic, although the steak was cold and underdonated and was another subject. Nice restaurant... attitude and professional staff.

Once we found the front door around the corner we were happy to find a comfortable and welcoming dining room. The host greeted us at the door and allowed us to pick our table. I was concerned that this may be more expensive then I...wanted but at the end our bill was very modest. The ribeye roast was brought to the table and the waiter had us choose how thick a cut we wanted. He cut it off and then took it into the kitchen. We had guacamole and chips to start. The steak was served with mixed vegetables and an onion/chili plate. And topped it off with cheese cake. We were very happy.

The name indicates a cheap chain restaurant not true. My local friend knew the owner and we were served a perfectly aged rib eye steak that was one of the best I have ever eaten. The meat was cut from a large piece so...one could determine how much you wanted to spend or how big is your appetite. Worth a try if you like superb steak.

Mr Steak is a very nice restaurant with excellent service. It is conveniently located near hotels and highway 15. It offers a very nice selection of steaks. I had a filet mignon which was perfectly prepared. The menu price was 220 pesos, which by the...current exchange rate is about $15.00. I will definitely stop here for dinner on my next trip through Ciudad Obregon.
