Bidra med feedbackWe got a table, and it was not clean. The waiter came over, wiped the table off with a cloth and sending the pieces on the floor. After that, she wiped our chairs, and proceeded to the next table and used the same cloth to wipe the table there. We left without ordering.
I don't know for sure if it's the best place in La Jonquera because I never saw the point in going anywhere else since my first visit 15 years ago. For me and countless motorists, it is an institution and the fare never disappoints.
The place is functional with a huge TV dominating part of the dining area. For 12 Euros its a 3 course set menu, including a drink. The choices are usual for this type of place, but the quality of food was not good. We had the 'galician broth ',to start, which really was a potato soup, nothing else in it. Then a merluza hake] described as grilled. It was pale,no grill marks at all, very wet and tasteless. I couldn 't eat it.It was probably the most disappointing dish I have ever had in Spain! It came with chips, nothing else which too were under cooked. The desserts were not as described,I ordered the flan, which came in a glass and looked very tired, and so immediately swapped it for melon,if they can 't get that wrong.. .coffees weren 't included or offered. Service was, well intermittent...so.we paid got on our way vowing not to return,as there are so many alternatives, with better VFM !
