La Guinguette Gaudoise - La Gaude

Superb. Lively, homey, spirited atmosphere. Food of the region well prepared and copious portions. Fine service. Fine rapport prix/qualite. A delight.

This restaurant is a typic one in La Gaude, provence specialities that you would not find elsewhere. At least try once!

We turned up as a party of 8 at the last minute and found the restaurant hospitable, and accommodating. Food was good value reasonable choice across the menu but not gourmet, local vins good value. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere with mixture of tourists and locals.

Turner up right at opening for dinner and was seated no problem. I was not familiar with this story of cooking and wow what a treat. I ordered from the set menu which included a charcuterie appetizer which was good, raviolis which were excellent and the roast beef which was really nice. Also had beignets which was like a tempura of vegetables, so good! Too much food for one person. I also had the charlotte aux fraises dessert which was great as well. All served by a friendly waiter. I really enjoyed my dinner and will return again.

Food was okay - However if you cannot speak French do not expect good service as the waitstaff were incredibly rude.
