A delightful little restaurant serving delicious home made food from a simple menu. Very welcoming staff and they accept small dogs as well. Highly recommended.
What an absolutely amazing 3 course lunch. The food was spectacular and the service was top class. Superb value for money.
We visited on Wednesday lunchtime arriving around 12.15. The restaurant filled up quickly and several parties had to be turned away. The menu consisted of 2 starters, a delicious tartine and a salad which we didn’t try. For mains we both had pork parmentier with salad which was great, the other choices were vegetable tart and chicken curry. It seemed that enough food was prepared for the 30 covers in total and and its first come first served on the options, the parmentier ran out very quickly. I think that this demonstrates that food is freshly prepared and nothing wasted, which is great. There were 3 pudding options which we didn’t try, a rice pudding, something with bananas and chocolate mousse with madeleines. Excellent decaf coffee too.
As per other reviews (see HFysh) the service, value and quality of this place is super. Nothing fancy just great food. Simple 9 item menu 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts. When we were there the last time, there was something for meaties, veggies and vegans. There is a quiet but friendly atmosphere where you can chat with others (my appalling french notwithstanding hey, I'm not proud of that boast) This is something the French are beginning to reinvent in their own image. Great stuff. So, Brits if you are in La Flèche slip along for lunch for €14.50 (three courses) booking advised but if you get there for around noon you might be lucky.
