Le Bouchon - Kyoto

The food is very good, the price is very reasonable, and the service is excellent! herr tamada, the manager and the chef waiter, is very friendly. he also speaks French and English. I'm vegetarian. there is not much I can eat on the menu, but if they ring a day before the hand, they will cook a special meal for the same price as the cursor set! I never had the same meal twice! the deserts are excellant (western, not Japanese) and make sure to taste an espresso!

The food was very French indeed with comprehensive menu. Excellent bread provided at the start and during the meal. I had the peach clafoutis which was excellent. We also ordered the pêche Melba, and the œufs a la neige were all very pleasant surprises.

A lovely Lyon bistro. The staff knew basic English and delivered excellent service. The food was great! I had a patè en croute and horse tartar. They even mix the tartar for you. Cash only btw.

This is the best French restaurant I've been to outside of France. Absolutely delicious! The manager/head waiter was really friendly, we spoke together in French, a nice surprise in the middle of Kyoto! He recommended a wonderful wine to go with our Steak Frites which was phenomenally good. We're hoping to head back to Kyoto soon to have more French food soon.

Love the steak lunch set. The garlic butter is great! The strawberry tart is pretty good too. Also all my French friends approve!
