Bidra med feedbackThe staff is so kind. She replaced a laksa for me for free, cos I didn’t used to a fish laksa. And the seafood laksa is very nice. And the roti!
This is truly my favourite restaurant and have been coming here for 30 years plus. Originally located further down Burwood Road it’s been settled here on the corner of Henry Street for a long time now. My favourite is the mee goreng or curry laksa with roti and sauce. The specials are always good. Busy during lunch hour with Swinburne Uni not far away. Check the website for opening hours. Good takeaway as well. The best part is that I’ve known the staff for so long and they always greet me like an old friend. They’ve watched me from pregnancy to my eldest being 21!Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. High chairs available. Parking isn’t too bad. Note it is cash only. Looking forward to many more lunches and dinners here which I now share with friends.
Chicken curry laksa is flavoursome and fragrant. Offering a good Malaysia/ Singaporean food in the area. For more foodie goodness follow my ig: emptystomach
The staff were incredibly attentive and so friendly. The food was good, in particular the martabak starter. The ice cream with a birthday candle at the end of meal was an extremely nice touch. We will be back.
Used to go to this place for “special” occasions during my college time many years ago. The authentic taste stays strongly in my mind so I made time to visit this during my 1 week trip to Melbourne. <br/ <br/ Two of us my cousin and I ordered 1 nasi lemak with beef rendang 1 laksa lemak to share. Must say the nasi lemak was very nice, very authentic. Everything on the plate was very rich in taste the beef rendang, the chili ikan bilis, even the vegetable pickle. Make sure you ask for the chili to make the whole thing even nicer. <br/ <br/ What’s lacking to me is some homey feel. The place was filled with literally only tables and chairs. Would have been nicer if they made some Asian/Malaysian ambiance into it. Bravo for the food, though!
