Candy 'n ' Spice - Kurunjang

Oh Yum! Candy's Dahl has got to be the best I have ever had! Seriously!  We also tried a Kale dish which was delicious, and I am not a Kale fan. At all. It's likely the dish we are coming back for, if not for the Dahl.Don't bother with the rice, go straight for the hoppers, both, egg or string hoppers are a must try. I can also recommend the Curries! Flavoursome without being spicy  (hot/spicy curries are available though) and the kids loved being able to try several dishes. The food was freshly prepared and served with a smile. Pretty chuffed we found a new place to go when I don't want to cook at home knowing that the kids will eat well too. And its BYO!

The food here is amazing! It's just like eating a home cooked meal in Sri Lanka. The service is friendly and the flavours are spot on Sri Lankan. Make sure you try the hoppers, pork curry, potatoevcurry and home made ginger beer! Also make a booking as the place can get busy

Decent place, homely and delicious food. Loved the chicken curry and roti. The ginger beer and ginger tea prepared in store is amazing. Staff were polite and the service was decent as well. Will definitely come back for those wonderful flavors.

Home kitchen ambience friendly service delicious food: we loved his local gem on our first visit.  The host, Candy, was very friendly and we really did feel as though we were eating in her living room at times. There are only a four or five tables so I'd recommend booking in advance or you could miss out.

I am a regular customer here and food is consistently great and caring service. food is cooked perfectly. this place is must a try in the local strip!
