Bidra med feedbackAttended a work Xmas function here. We had an evening out enjoying a fantastic entree of Thai finger food followed by all of us cooking our own Pad Thai noodles. It was great fun and having the restaurant as private dining area was fantastic too.
Great location in South Wharf. Nice decor and sitting areas. Food is decent and staff are friendly. Good place after work or Sunday afternoon drinks.
Chicken, pork and chorizo paella. Peppercorn steak and salad. Parmesen cheese, garlic butter on corn cob. Flavourful and tasty food : <br/ Ordered a few dishes for dinner and they were very filling!
Best Cannelloni I've ever had! There's something about the white sauce that hits the spot. Almost like a stronger flavoured cheese added to the mixture. Perfect!<br/ <br/ Desserts were brilliant! Well balanced with the right amounts of sweet and crunch.<br/ <br/ Prawn sliders were a bit bland and boring. Nothing special happening there and the fried chicken was nice, but again, nothing spectacular.
I 'm surprised I 'd never been here before. My old-work 's head office was nearby and I sometimes would wander the area in search for a (decent) place to eat. For a (quick) work lunch for just yourself it is a bit hard though I think, as most of dishes seem to be designed to share. The venue is nice enough though I think this place would be best at night, with some company and some time to sip a nice wine whilst you indulge on various dishes to share. I nonetheless had to try it before I finished working in the area so I came in here on my last week.<br/ <br/ The service was casual and friendly. I ordered the Kangaroo fillet from their specials menu which took a bit longer that I would 've expected (my guess is that all the 'mise en place ' had been packed away which would make sense as it seemed like a very slow lunch day) but the dish itself was nicely prepared, cooked medium-rare without asking, the onion jam was actually very tasty and delicious, the golden beetroot pure was nice too and well, the burnt butter and sage, well, it was burnt butter and sage... you know how delicious that is! Overall it was a nice dish. It needed a side though. Perhaps that was my own failing in not realizing I 'd need to order something else. I was more after a light lunch so it worked out for the best though. Based on that one dish I would recommend it.
