Bidra med feedbackGood points: Venue is beautiful, staff excellent, meat skewer was delicious, partner's scotch egg was good, partner's glass of red was also good though very small for $22 per glass, bread was good too.Not so good points: I asked if the glazed baked ham was a hot dish and was told yes. My image of that was totally different to the deli type slices of cold ham with an apricot sauce plonked on top. Rotisserie cauliflower image was also different to what arrived a large stalk of mostly raw almost cold cauliflower slightly charred which you needed a saw to cut. Lukewarm hasselback potatoes tasted good but I almost asked for a chisel to cut them. We decided to not have dessert. My partner ordered coffee and I asked for tea but no tea, only a herbal concoction thatïs quite aromatic was offered so I declined.Personally when I order a hot meal I expect it to be hot not cold or at best tepid. Perhaps serving the food in hot dishes and having warm plates to eat it off would help. For the cost of the meal it was very disappointing.
The view is good drive is excellent but food was mediocre. Lamb was too salty and yoghurt did not have flavour. Shaved ham was basic. It’s a shame they give you a whole tub of ice cream and not just a scoop for a kid. We had to take the tub home without the ice bag which was out of stock when we finished lunch. I would rather spend this money on a good Greek restaurant elsewhere.
A truly wonderful experience. Great staff and very tasty food. We travelled from Queensland just to dine with our Grandson Kristian who is one of the chefs. Thank you it was well worth the experience.
The entrees were perfectly lovely, especially the pate and devilled egg. I had some issues later during the course of the night. Their scotch egg was unacceptably raw and later gave me food poisoning. Also the cheesecake was grainy. This was not the standard I'd expect from Ben Shewry.
Great, playful take on picnic food. Wonderful location. I just wish the chairs were a bit more comfortable.
