Bidra med feedbackMy family and I had a pleasant day in Kuranda, but when we decided to have lunch, we found that most restaurants had already closed. We came across Cafe Suzi (formerly known as Cafe Kuranda), which was still open. However, when my husband placed our order, the waitress (possibly the owner) was rude. Although our meals were served promptly, the same person who took our order was handling our meals. She scolded our child for simply sitting and waiting for his food, which was unnecessary. If his meal hadn't been in a plastic container, it would have spilled everywhere. Additionally, this same person loudly complained to other staff members about a new employee, calling her useless and a waste of space. This behavior was very unprofessional. It seems that this cafe forgets that they rely heavily on income from tourists who visit the city for day trips. I would advise any future guests to have lunch early elsewhere to avoid Cafe Suzi at all costs.
The staff was very entertaining and the overall experience was as great as the food. The sweet potato chips were excellent. Definitely worth a visit!
I recently visited a restaurant in Kuranda with my daughter and had a wonderful time, but I was taken aback when greeted by the lady at the front desk with rude language. She informed me that the kitchen had closed just 5 minutes prior. I was surprised as I had not realized it was closing time and it had only been 5 minutes. Any reasonable business owner would not turn away a small order from a family just 5 minutes after closing. If they did not wish to serve customers, they could have communicated it more politely or normally. I hope that the lady becomes more friendly in the future. The world does not need any more negativity.
Was a good trip with friends when they visited us to get our order. The grim lady at the desk was rude and out of line. I would have liked to bring my friends here, but decided against it.
Café Kuranda is excellent with the service being nice and just ordering lovely food and grabbing a drink that is worth the cost.
