Bidra med feedbackWe came here with our two children (4/9 years) The hike from the town square is steep and demanding, but short! The view is exceptional. The staff was very accommodating. My daughter became a bit too cold from persistent winds, so they helped us to move into nothing. We're definitely coming back. Cool things - the wine is from vineyards that you can literally see on the mountain. -small playground for children - clean bathrooms -decent Prices
This restaurant is located halfway between the striking city centre of Bernkastel and Landshut Castle on the hill. It is about 10 minutes, relatively simple, uphill from the marketplace through the narrow streets and vineyards. The view from the terrace is beautiful and we were lucky that a free table was found on the terrace for lunch. One of the owners is Dutch, so there are some Dutch / Indonesian specialties on the menu. We tried Kibbeling (a Dutch version of fish and chips) and Gado Gado (an Indonesian vegetable dish) and found them really delicious, fresh and well prepared. Together with a good German beer and a beautiful espresso we spent a very pleasant time here. The staff is very friendly and takes measures seriously. Recommended.
All four of us enjoyed the food here. I had their house salad and this one was great! The Riesling Gross Gewachs van Thanis Doctor was fantastic. The service from Jessica was excellent and she got us the telephone number from the wine maker Thanisch. To end this review, the view was stunning!
We pre-booked this restaurant for my husband's 40th birthday when we were on holiday in the area. When we first arrived we were blown away by the view! It is stunning and our table was right by the fence outside so we were happy. We ordered our food, starters and main courses but an hour went by and we still only had our drinks... we kept asking where our food was and were told it's coming. After 80mins our main courses turned up and the waitress was surprised that we had not had our starters yet. By then were really annoyed as it was clear our order hadn't even got to the kitchen and they only started cooking it when we asked after it. The food was fine but the waiting ruined the whole lunch and we left as soon as we'd eaten. I'm sure this was a one off and we got unlucky but it was a shame that it was a special occasion.
We wae to the foot, the way there, through the weinberge high to the castle. Then you pass there, we were there early, to the luck is there the 'bär` los . full of things is not.Leider no pictures, eat and drink first choice.Who go again there.
