Ταβέρνα Ρόδος

I stopped in for a glass of wine and appetizer on a whim — I was hungry and needed something to tide me over until dinner. I'm so glad I did! I was invited into the spotless kitchen to choose what I wanted to try — all made fresh that day, with ingredients from the owner's garden. For 11 euro, I got a full small plate, small salad, bread, glass of wine, bottle of water… and was treated to raki and dessert on the house. Will go back for a full meal while I am in the area!

Vassillios and his wife are wonderful hosts and wonderful cooks. The food is always delicious and little extras are often given without charge. Typical, generous Cretan cooking. When you get shown the kitchen choose something from all the dishes on offer. A lovely, enjoyable dining experience

Best homemade greek dining! Owner invites you to his kitchen and it seems like it is his whole life! Been there 6 times during 6 day stay and everyday he prepares you something different and delicious! Place on to-do and to-repeat list!

Best Cretan food we had so far! Proudly run by chef Vasilios and Aristea. They cook something different every day and will show you what they'll serve you from their kitchen. We enjoyed it very much!
