Apithano Honey Museum-tasting Tours

Wonderful museum guided by a beautiful person. They have done a great job and can show samples of old hives, made of mud and straw and later by clay to modern wooden ones. You get to see a modern apiary as well and then taste the wonderful honey they have for sale! Great visit!

What a great treasure nearby village of Melidoni. Very friendly lady gave us free tour about honey, bees and honey production in Crete and it was more interesting than I could have imagined about honey. After the tour we got to taste their homemade honeys and rakis in factory shop and from the shop you could buy these amazing products with great prices!
