Gut Matzen Michael Oberwalder

We ate at this restaurant in May 2017 while staying at the Schloss Matzen hotel located just above. The hotel and restaurant are not affiliated with each other, but there is a private walkway from the inner courtyard of the Schloss down to the restaurant. We had a delicious dinner inside the building (it was raining that evening). There is outside seating in good weather. The owner led us to our table. She was very welcoming, and the waitress was very friendly.

Frühstück mit kleinen Mängel. Brotauswahl: Aufgebackenes Wurzelbaguette zwei verschiedene Sorten. Hätte mir etwas mehr erwartet. Brotkorb mit allerlei Gebäck zum Beispiel. Marmeladen kommen in kleinen Gläsern von Darbo. In offenen Portionsschüsselchen hätte es viel besser Gepasst. Kalter Aufschnitt, Müsli kam etwas lieblos an den Tisch, sowie auch der geräucherte Lachs. Service sehr bemüht, aber leider etwas überfordert. Frisch gepresste Säfte, Café, Kakao, Preis waren in Ordnung. Tolles Ambiente

Das Restaurant verfügt über eine klassische Speisekarte für diese Region.Preis-Leistung ist bestens.Die Umgebung ist super.Service ist bestens.Für Familien oder Freundesrunden gut geeignet.

The staff was indifferent. The food was okay, but small portions and overpriced. There's flamingos that's a bit like a pizza. It's good, but the portions are small. The choice of dessert was very limited.

The food was great and the staff was also fabulous. The restaurant opens to the bar. The bar had 2/3 smokers who constantly smoke and at the end of the meal it was our eyes never influenced the smell. That Austria allows smoking is arcane, but the restaurant can choose to prohibit smoking on one side and therefore the bad review. If you smoke, then I can recommend it thoroughly if not disturb.
